PT Bio Inti Agrindo (PT BIA) is contributing to the Indonesian Biodiversity Week event is held integrated with the IUCN World Species Congress 2024 and International Biodiversity Day 2024 from Wednesday, May 15 2024 until Friday, May 17 2024 at the Manggala Wanabakti Building, Jakarta. This event features various activities such as exhibitions, seminar talk shows, games, and live music.

PT Bio Inti Agrindo (PT BIA) and the KSDA Papua Centre exhibited a booth containing biodiversity in the Papua region that has been captured in pictures and videos. As well as promoting goods made by local Papuan communities such as Noken, imitation headdresses, Papuan Orchids and bulletin magazines progress updates on other conservation activities.

This is the implementation of cooperation between PT BIA and BBKSDA to strengthen the function of conservation of biodiversity of Lake Bian Wildlife Reserve (support for community empowerment cooperation around SM Bian) by promoting the products of community empowerment.

The seminar was filled with renowned speakers in the field of biodiversity, such as Prof. Dr. Satyawan Pudyatmoko, Shut. M.Agr.Sc (Director General of KSDAE) and Prof. Dr. Ir. Mirza Dikari Kusrini, M.Si. (Co-Chair of IUCN SCC IdSSG - Faculty of Forestry & Environment, IPB University). Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Alue Dohong, also attended the event and added significance to the occasion. In his opening speech, he emphasized Indonesia's commitment to the preservation and protection of biodiversity, stating, "The series of activities included talk shows and exhibitions to demonstrate our commitment. Indonesia leads by example in the efforts to save, conserve, and protect biodiversity," said Deputy Minister Alue Dohong during the opening of Biodiversity Week Event.

This activity was attended by multi-stakeholders and open to the public such as other private companies, environmentalists (GIZ, Burung Indonesia, Harimau Kita, Yayasan Badak, and many more) in addition to the academic community and students also attended

The enthusiasm of the community towards the Biodiversity Week 2024 activities is expected to ignite greater interest and involvement from all parties in preserving and conserving biodiversity in Indonesia.
