Jakarta, May 25, 2026 – PT Bio Inti Agrindo (PT BIA) has once again achieved a significant milestone in sustainability and corporate social responsibility by receiving prestigious recognition at the TOP CSR Awards 2026 organized by TopBusiness Magazine.

At the event, PT BIA received the TOP CSR Awards 2026 Corporate Level – Star 4 in recognition of the company’s strong commitment to implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs integrated with sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. In addition, the TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2026 award was presented to Kong Byoung Sun, President Director of PT Bio Inti Agrindo, for his leadership in advancing CSR initiatives that create positive impacts on communities and the environment.

The TOP CSR Awards 2026 assessment process began with a presentation and judging interview session conducted by PT BIA representative, Kartika Dewi, ESG Manager of PT BIA, before the panel of judges. During the session, PT BIA presented various sustainability initiatives, particularly the implementation of the Bian Project as the company’s flagship program in community economic empowerment and environmental conservation in South Papua.
After being announced as an award recipient, PT BIA was also invited to present its CSR program implementation through the TOP CSR Awards 2026 Webinar Series attended by all TOP CSR Awards participants and broadcast live through the TopBusiness YouTube channel. During the webinar, PT BIA shared its experiences, strategies, and sustainability approaches in implementing ESG-based CSR programs.

The TOP CSR Awards 2026 awarding ceremony was held on Thursday, May 25, 2026, at Raffles Jakarta and attended by nearly 700 participants from various industries across Indonesia. The awards aim to encourage stronger ESG-based CSR implementation in order to create long-term corporate value and sustainable development.
During the awarding ceremony, the trophy and certificate on behalf of PT BIA were received by Kang Pil Seoung, Director of PT Bio Inti Agrindo.

“This award reflects PT BIA’s commitment to implementing sustainability programs. We hope the programs carried out by PT BIA will continue to provide tangible and sustainable benefits for communities and the environment,” said Kang Pil Seoung.

One of the company’s flagship programs highlighted during the assessment process was the Bian Project, located in the Danau Bian Wildlife Reserve area. The area holds high ecological value while also serving as a vital source of livelihood for the surrounding indigenous communities. Through this initiative, PT BIA applies a holistic approach that integrates environmental conservation with community economic empowerment across eight surrounding villages.

The Bian Project is also implemented in collaboration with the Papua Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BBKSDA Papua) as a strategic partner in supporting conservation efforts and biodiversity protection within the Danau Bian area.

“This program is not only important for the ecosystem, but also for the sustainability of communities and the company’s operations. Therefore, we ensure that every intervention covers economic, social, and environmental aspects in an integrated manner,” said Kartika Dewi, ESG Manager of PT BIA.

The Bian Project was designed using a theory of change approach with Miradi modeling, enabling the company to map the relationship between activities, outputs, and long-term impacts in a measurable way. In its implementation, PT BIA initiated the program through FPIC activities and the development of social and economic baseline studies involving local communities in a participatory manner.

A total of 719 households across eight villages have been involved in the planning and implementation of the program. PT BIA has also assigned facilitators in each village focusing on community economic development, health, and education. In addition, the program is implemented through collaboration with various strategic partners, including universities, NGOs, and local governments, to ensure effective and sustainable implementation.

From an economic perspective, the program has successfully established 20 community business groups producing 18 local products and has supported the operation of eight Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMK). To date, 371 households, or approximately 50 percent of the total village population, have actively participated in the program, with increased alternative sources of income beyond natural resource exploitation activities.
President Director of PT Bio Inti Agrindo, Kong Byoung Sun, stated that the award serves as motivation for the company to further strengthen sustainability initiatives that provide tangible benefits to communities and the environment.

“This award encourages us to continue delivering sustainable CSR programs that create positive impacts for communities surrounding the company’s operational areas,” said Kong Byoung Sun.

Through these sustainability initiatives, PT BIA remains committed to strengthening collaboration with communities, government institutions, and stakeholders in order to create long-term positive impacts for South Papua and Indonesia.
