Merauke, 23 July 2026 PT Bio Inti Agrindo, through its Gender Committee, held a National Children’s Day 2026 celebration under the theme “Together, We Love Children, Protect Children, and Build the Future of Indonesian Children,” with the slogan “Together, Creating a Safe, Comfortable, and Supportive Environment for Children’s Growth and Development.”

Carrying the concept of a Children’s Festival, the event took place at the Estate C Sports Hall and was attended by 150 children from three schools within the PT Bio Inti Agrindo environment, namely Estate A, Estate B, and Estate C. Each school sent 50 participants, who appeared in traditional attire and creative costumes, creating a colourful, energetic, and joyful atmosphere.

The programme began with participant registration, an opening ceremony, a joint prayer, and a Wonderland creative dance performance. The children then enjoyed art performances, a fashion show, educational games, and an interactive session on children’s rights, delivered in a fun and engaging way.

Beyond serving as a platform for creativity, the National Children’s Day celebration also became an educational forum to strengthen awareness of the importance of protecting children from all forms of violence, fulfilling children’s rights, and creating a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment that supports their growth and development.

In her remarks, Ms. Alexandrina Saklil, S.Pd., Gr., Principal of TK Negeri Issau BIA 2, emphasised that child protection is a shared responsibility that must begin within the family and be supported by all elements of society.

“The family environment plays a primary role in protecting children’s rights from all forms of violence and in providing a sense of safety, comfort, and good health for their growth and development. However, this responsibility does not rest on the family alone. Schools, communities, and all stakeholders have an obligation to ensure that every child can grow, learn, and pursue their dreams in an environment filled with care and affection.”

“Even though parents work hard every day in the oil palm plantation with dedication and perseverance, let every effort become a motivation to provide better education and a brighter future for the children. They are our hope for the future.”

“Thank you to everyone who has attended and celebrated National Children’s Day together with joy. We hope that activities like this will not stop here. May the Gender Committee and the management of PT Bio Inti Agrindo continue to present programmes that provide motivation, protection, and support for schools within the company environment for the future of our children.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Elfridus Anci, Chairperson of the National Children’s Day 2026 Organising Committee, stated that the commemoration serves as an important momentum to strengthen collective commitment to fulfilling children’s rights.

“Today, we gather here to commemorate National Children’s Day 2026 with the spirit of loving children, protecting their rights, and building the future of Indonesian children. This moment reminds us that every child has the right to grow, learn, play, and develop in a safe, healthy, and loving environment.”

Mr. Elfridus explained that PT Bio Inti Agrindo has a responsibility to help create an environment that supports children’s growth and development.

“Through this activity, we hope that the children will not only enjoy themselves, but also gain meaningful experience and learning. In the future, we hope that all children from schools within the company environment can participate, so that the benefits of this activity can be felt more widely. This certainly requires strong collaboration among schools, the Gender Committee, Public Relations, and all related parties.”

As part of its environmental awareness efforts, the organising committee also handed over tree seedlings to the participating schools, consisting of 3 rain tree seedlings, 30 golden trumpet tree seedlings, and 30 small sapodilla seedlings. The seedlings will be planted in each school environment as an effort to instil environmental care from an early age.

The atmosphere became even more festive through various activities, including fun games, cultural art performances, and the Children’s Voice session. During the session, representatives from each school shared their hopes, dreams, and messages to parents, teachers, the company, and the wider community, calling for continued protection, affection, and equal opportunities for every child to develop.

As the highlight of the event, all participants jointly read the Child Protection Commitment Declaration as a symbol of shared determination to create a safe, comfortable, inclusive environment free from all forms of violence against children.

Concluding the event, Ms. Silviana Wotos, Chairperson of the PT Bio Inti Agrindo Gender Committee, expressed her appreciation to the organising committee, teachers, participants, and all parties who supported the implementation of the National Children’s Day 2026 Festival.

“On behalf of the PT Bio Inti Agrindo Gender Committee, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the Chairperson of the Organising Committee, the teachers, our beloved children from Estate A, Estate B, and Estate C, and everyone who participated in this activity. Although the preparation was carried out in only four days, we are grateful to God that the entire programme ran well and smoothly.”

“We realise that there were still shortcomings in the implementation of this activity. Therefore, we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or matters that may have been less than satisfactory during the preparation or implementation of the event.”

“We hope that activities like this can continue to be carried out as a form of our shared commitment to providing a safe, enjoyable, and educational space for children. The Gender Committee cannot work alone. Support from company management, schools, teachers, parents, and all employees is key to creating a truly child-friendly environment at PT Bio Inti Agrindo.”

The National Children’s Day 2026 celebration concluded with the presentation of appreciation tokens to participants, a group photo session, lunch, and a friendly gathering in an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness.

Through the National Children’s Day 2026 Festival, PT Bio Inti Agrindo once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the fulfilment of children’s rights and building a child-friendly company environment. The event is expected to inspire all stakeholders to continue working together to nurture a healthy, intelligent, and character-driven generation that is ready to embrace the future.
