Strategic Synergy between Musamus University and PT BIA for Sustainable Natural and Human Resource Development

Merauke, 25 October 2024 – Musamus University (UNMUS) and PT Bio Inti Agrindo (BIA) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday, October 25, 2024, focusing on human resource (HR) development and natural resource (NR) management. This strategic step underscores both institutions' commitment to supporting sustainable development, aiming to create a long-term positive impact on the environment and the community.
In his remarks, Musamus University Rector Dr. Drs. Beatus Tambaip, M.A., shared that this MoU signing has long been anticipated and marks an important moment for both parties. "We welcome the presence of PT BIA's President Director and hope this collaboration will significantly impact natural and human resource management, especially in South Papua," said the Rector. He emphasized the importance of synergy between academia and industry in ensuring sustainable development in the region.
PT BIA President Director Kim Won Il expressed PT BIA’s strong support for local HR development and sustainable NR management. "This cooperation is a tangible step in our efforts to ensure that natural resource management in South Papua is carried out wisely and responsibly, bringing positive impacts to the community. With skilled human resources, we are optimistic about achieving better, more sustainable natural resource management," he stated. He also added that PT BIA is committed to ongoing collaboration with academia to create innovative solutions for sustainable NR management.
The MoU aims to support Musamus University's Tri Dharma of Higher Education and encourage academic involvement in sustainable NR and HR management.
