Our plasma plantations provide economic opportunities for the local communities while serving as an integral part of our supply base.

In the spirit of improving the lives of the communities around our area of operations, PT BIA launched the plasma scheme on August 20, 2021. Under the plasma scheme, we allocated 6,867 ha of land to be managed by local smallholders. Today, these plasma plantations form an integral part of our supply base.

Our plasma plantation team comprises fully trained personnel and smallholders from the local communities, actively engaged in the plasma plantation. The company remains fully committed to supporting the effective operation of the plasma system by providing the necessary equipment, materials, and comprehensive training programs. This model was implemented to ensure the proper management of these plantations while promoting capacity-building among smallholders through targeted training initiatives.

In addition to training, we provide ongoing assistance in plantation development and maintenance, offering expert guidance to our plasma smallholders. This includes the integration of sustainable and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), reflecting our unwavering commitment to maintaining thoroughly sustainable operations.

Plasma supplies 100% of its Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) to PT BIA. Moreover, Our plasma has also been certified with ISPO, RSPO, ISO 45001:2018, ISCC EU, and CORSIA*. As of December 2023, there are 613 plasma employees, producing a total of 120,298,220 tons of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB), 100% of which are supplied to PT Bio Inti Agrindo's palm oil mills.
