Proper waste and water management is an integral part of our efforts to minimize our environmental impact and contribute to the local communities.

As part of our sustainable operations, we have developed clear waste and water management procedures to reduce the waste we produce and ensure the availability of clean water for our operations and local communities. Our procedures are in line with the relevant regulations set by the Indonesian government.

Effective Use of Water

We are committed to using water in an environmentally and socially responsible way. Our plantations are fed by surface water and do not use irrigation. The Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) we produce is repurposed as fertilizers in our plantations as part of our water conservation efforts.

Reduced Use of Toxic Materials

We limit the use of toxic materials such as pesticides, herbicides, and excessive fertilizers as defined by RSPO standards and the Recommended Classification of Pesticides by Hazards and Guidelines to Classification by the World Health Organization (WHO). This includes ensuring an environmentally conscious use of fertilizers and reducing the use of pesticides to minimize the emissions and pollution that we generate. Our Integrated Pest Control policy ensures that pests are dealt with through environmentally friendly and safety conscious methods. This means ensuring that our workers are protected from contamination from toxic materials and that pesticides are used only in limited amounts.
