Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) is a certification issued by the Indonesian government for an economically, socially, and environmentally sound palm oil business. ISPO provides a written statement that a palm oil business has fulfilled all ISPO principles and criteria. Since 2011, the Indonesian government has made ISPO certification mandatory for all oil palm growers and palm oil producers operating in Indonesia.
We believe that this initiative serves as a positive turning point for the Indonesian palm oil industry. Not only it improves our reputation in the global market, but also addresses social and environmental issues. PT BIA received ISPO certification in 2019. Today, we are 100% ISPO certified, including our mills and plasma plantations.
