PT BIA WINS CSR-CLINIC 2024 AWARD: COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC HEALTH

Palembang, September 17, 2024 – PT Bio Inti Agrindo (BIA) has reaffirmed its commitment to public health by winning the prestigious CSR-Clinic 2024 Award from the Association of Indonesian Health Offices (ADINKES). The award ceremony was held at the Beston Hotel Palembang and was attended by over 1,000 participants, including senior officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the Governor of South Sumatra, and prominent NGO figures.
Ongoing Contribution to Health
This award recognizes PT BIA’s active role in supporting public health programs since the company’s inception. BIA is the only company in Papua to receive this accolade, thanks to its efforts in preventing communicable diseases such as malaria, AIDS, and tuberculosis. The health initiatives implemented by PT BIA have had a significant positive impact on local public health.
In addition to PT BIA, nine other companies, including Aqua and Taekwang, were also honored with the CSR-Clinic Award.
Rigorous Selection Process
The CSR-Clinic Award recipients were chosen through a rigorous selection process by a committee of experts, including healthcare professionals at the district level and local NGOs. ADINKES, a leading health organization in Indonesia, determined the final winners based on the tangible contributions and social impact of the companies.
Recognition of Long-Term Contributions
This award acknowledges PT BIA’s long-term dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs focused on improving public health. The company has established three hospitals, serving 35,000 patients in 2023 with a range of health services. PT BIA also supports these facilities with professional medical staff, 41 healthcare workers, ambulances, and medical equipment such as ultrasound and blood analysis tools.
Ongoing CSR Efforts
To date, PT BIA has built and operates three hospitals in its plantation areas. The first hospital was established in Estate A in 2013, expanded to Estate B in 2018, and the latest addition in Estate C in 2024. These health services are available to around 9,000 people, including employees, their families, and local communities.
