THE PAPUA PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT PRESENTED AWARDS TO PT BIO INTI AGRINDO FOR ITS SUCCESS OF ZERO ACCIDENTS IN THE WORKPLACE

Jayapura – PT Bio Inti Agrindo (PT.BIA) won an award from the Papua Provincial Government for its success in achieving Zero Accidents, within the framework of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Month in 2022.

The Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) and Papuan Province Workers presented the award to PT. Bio Inti Agrindo in the Field of the UPTD (Regional Technical Implementation Unit) Office of the Papua Province Employment Supervisory Center, Thursday (2/24/2022).

"Representing PT Bio Inti Agrindo (PT BIA), I thank the Papua Provincial Government for presenting this award. This award is inseparable from the participation of all of our colleagues and also partners in our work environment in the consistent of application of an OHS culture in every business activity to support the protection of labor in a digitalized era, "said Mr. Yanto Dawenan General Manager of PT Bio Inti Agrindo.

As an Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) business unit for plantation business systems, we are economically, socio-culturally, and environmentally friendly based on statutory provisions. Yanto Dawenan explained that his group continues to strive for the proper execution of Occupational Health and Safety as well as continuous improvement in order to create a safety culture in all working areas of PT Bio Inti Agrindo.

"Hopefully with this award, it will be used as motivation, increase responsibility and strengthen our commitment for all ranks to consistently execute OHS in a disciplined manner in the work environment so that a safety culture can be realized and achieve Zero Accidents," he said.

The submission of this award by the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, SMEs and the Department of Labor in Papua Province, Pendius Wanimbo coincided with the closing of the National OHS Month in 2022. This event also invited 20 other companies in the Papua Province all of whom also received the achievement of Zero Work Accidents.
