DECLARATION OF THE COMMITMENT TO OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY, PT BIA TOWARDS ZERO ACCIDENTS

Commitment to Operational Health and Safety
Awareness Campaign, PT Bio Inti Agrindo (PT BIA) conducted a declaration of commitment to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in Merauke. The series of declaration activities began on June 2 - 4, 2021, taking place at the Estate C sports lounge, Friday (June 4, 2021).
This activity was attended by 83 management and employee representatives from all departments (Assistant Division, Assistant Manager, Manager, GM to Director). This declaration aims to reaffirm awareness and emphasize that employee health and safety is a top priority above all else.
The first day's declaration was attended by Irawati Astuti, as the Papua Province Manpower Supervisor for the Merauke Regency Working Area, her presence provided appreciation and motivation to all PT BIA Leaders and Employees in an effort to increase commitment and implementation of OHS in the workplace. The event continued with remarks from the President, reading the pledge together and socializing various policies owned by the company.
Virtually in his remarks the President of PT BIA Kong Byoung Sun, said "The Covid-19 pandemic can interfere physically and psychologically which ultimately makes us neglect to maintain work safety. Therefore, this activity is considered important to reaffirm that vigilance and caution must always be prioritized so that Zero Accident can be realized."
Agung Kurniawan, General OHS Expert argued that so far PT BIA has carried out its operational activities by adhering to the principles of Sustainable Business, meaning that it still protects the environment, respects and appreciates employees and the community as the highest thing. The common goal of Zero Accidents is also in line with the Company's Vision and Mission to create safe and healthy working conditions.
