Jayapura- PT. Bio Inti Agrindo has achieved PROPER Certificate (Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan) in environmental management 2020-2021 Period. 

The PROPER Certificate in environmental management gave by The Head of DKLH (Forestry and Environmental Service) Jan Jap L. Ormuseray, SH., M. Si for The President Director PT. Bio Inti Agrindo, Mr. Hyun Chang Seop at Aston Hotel, Jayapura, Thursday (7/12/2022).

PROPER consists of 5 levels: Gold, Green, Blue, Red, and Black in environmental management.

It is such a good achievement by PT. Bio Inti Agrindo for achieving the Blue PROPER Certificate, means that the company has performed their efforts for required environmental management in line with the rules and regulations (has fulfilled all required by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry).

In order to obtain the Blue PROPER Certificate, the company should be assess in the field of: water resources assessment, land damage assessment, marine pollution control, hazardous and toxic waste/LB3 waste control, air pollution control, water pollution control, and AMDAL implementation.

Ormuseray stated that PT. Bio Inti Agrindo could reach the Blue category of PROPER Certificate for the first time they participated in the Program. He appreciates the management of PT. Bio Inti Agrindo of this good achievement because it was not easy to obtain the Blue category for the company concerned with oil palm plantations and processing factories.

Then, Mr. Hyun Chang Seop pointed out that “In April 2021, for the first time PT Bio Inti Agrindo is established as a PROPER participant for the 2020-2021 period. It is certainly a challenge for us to show compliance and commitment regarding sustainable palm oil plantations that PT Bio Inti Agrindo has always promoted”.

Lastly, Mr. Hyun Chang Seop showed gratitude to Forestry and Environmental Service in Papua Province and Merauke Regency for always support PT. Bio Inti Agrindo and hoped to continue good cooperation and support so that they can promote Papua.
