Merauke, 23 July 2023 at PT Bio Inti Agrindo’s (PT.BIA) Estate Schools, Ceremony and Competitions held in Commemoration of National Children’s Day – For the children attending PT BIA’s estate schools, today was a very special day. To commemorate Indonesia’s National Children’s Day, the schools of PT BIA’s estates decided to hold a special ceremony as well as a number of competitions for the children to participate in. This Children’s Day event was attended by students, teachers, and PT BIA representatives such as the Social Relations Department and the Gender Committee.

It was very joyous sight to behold as children could be seen smiling, running, singing and dancing depending on which competition they participated in. The competitions held included a quiz, a singing contest, picture coloring, speech contest, drama and acting contest, poetry reading, choir contest, dancing contest, etc. The schools that hosted these competitions were 8 in total and they included Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle schools of Negeri Loo, the Elementary and Middle schools of Negeri Isau, and the Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle schools of Negeri Kukumid.

On 22 August 2023, the children were presented awards for their performances during the competitions. In addition to the students themselves, the awarding ceremony was attended by the school teachers as well as PT BIA's Social Relations Team.

We recognize that the children of the local residents and our employees are the future of the community in Merauke and PT BIA is looking to assist in protecting, educating, and encouraging these children to achieve success.
