The Planting of 100 Fruit Trees in PT BIA's Estates

Merauke Tuesday 17 October 2023 – PT Bio Inti Agrindo carried out activities for the planting of 100 fruit trees across key areas in its Estate. These activities are part of the Company’s “Green Initiative” to enrich the Estate with fruits and plant life. Many of the residents in our estates have been looking forward to these plantings as this fills the operational area with productive plants.
The Company planted four different kinds of fruit trees: mangoes, guava, carambolas, and kenitu (star apple), with 25 pots for each fruit. The teams in charge of this program were the Sustainability and Planning teams. The Planning team assisted the Sustainability team in identifying which areas would be best for the planting acitvities. We placed focus on key areas across the estate such as cottages, pathways around employee housing, and guest dormitories.
Moving forward, we hope to see the Sustainability and Planning teams to work collaborate again to implement this planting program in other estates in PT BIA’s concession.
