PT BIA Has Supported The National Economic Recovery Through Exports And Received The Best Service Award

Merauke, Tuesday, April 6, 2021 Merauke Customs held an awarding event for the Best Service User, namely PT Bio Inti Agrindo (BIA). The event was held at the Swiss Bellhotel Merauke Hotel hall. Not only companies, Merauke Customs also invited related agencies such as the Port Health Office, Merauke Immigration, Fisheries Quarantine Station, Agriculture, KPP Merauke, Class III Bade Port Operator Unit, State Treasury Service, Merauke Harbor & Port Authority, SOTA Merauke Cross Border Post. There were 40 participants who attended the event which was held with the application of strict Prokes.

The event began with the opening of the Head of the Merauke Customs Office, Nazwar, who explained the achievements that have been made by PT BIA during this pandemic. One of the achievements is the consistency of PT BIA in exporting even during a pandemic and still employing all employees, all company operations continue to run with Health protocols. This was given a positive response by the Government because this export can help restore the national economy which is down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. After the remarks and presentation of material, the event continued with the presentation of awards from Nazwar as Head of KPPBC TMP C Merauke to the President Director of PT BIA, Kong Byoung Sun.

In his remarks, President Director Kong said that PT BIA always strives to be a sustainable Palm Oil plantation, based on corporate citizenship that strives to have a positive impact on all.

In the Merauke region, PT BIA is the first company to contribute foreign exchange for CPO (Crude Palm Oil) exports.

The award as the best Service User was given to BIA with the criteria of a high level of compliance with customs & excise compliance (export customs). With this award, it is hoped that other companies in Merauke can be encouraged to keep rising to build the local and national economy.\
