BIA telah Mendukung Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional melalui EKSPOR dan mendapat penghargaan jasa terbaik

Merauke, Selasa 6 April 2021 Bea Cukai Merauke mengadakan acara pemberian Penghargaan kepada Pengguna Jasa Terbaik, yaitu PT Bio Inti Agrindo (BIA). Acara ini diadakan di aula Hotel Swiss Bellhotel Merauke. Tidak hanya perusahaan, Bea Cukai Merauke juga turut mengundang instansi terkait seperti Dinas Kesehatan Pelabuhan, Imigrasi Merauke, Stasiun Karantina Perikanan, Pertanian, KPP Merauke, Unit Penyelenggara Pelabuhan Kelas III Bade, Pelaypeneanan Perbendaharaan Negara, kesyahbandaran & otoritas Pelabuhan Merauke, Pos Lintas Batas Negara SOTA Merauke. Terdapat 40 peserta yang hadir pada acara yang diadakan dengan penerapan Prokes ketat.

Acara di mulai dengan pembukaan Kepala Kantor Bea Cukai Merauke, Nazwar, yang menjelaskan mengenai prestasi yang sudah dicapai oleh PT BIA selama pandemi ini. Salah satu prestasi adalah konsistensi PT BIA dalam melakukan ekspor bahkan saat pandemi sekalipun dan tetap mempekerjakan seluruh pegawainya, semua operational perusahaan tetap berjalan dengan protokol Kesehatan. Hal ini diberikan tanggapan positif oleh Pemerintah karena ekspor ini dapat membantu memulihkan perekonomian nasional yang sedang turun akibat pandemi Covid-19. Setelah sambutan dan pemaparan materi, acara dilanjut dengan penyerahan penghargaan dari Nazwar selaku Kepala KPPBC TMP C Merauke kepada Presiden Direktur PT BIA, Kong Byoung Sun.

Dalam kata sambutannya, Presdir Kong menyampaikan bahwa PT BIA selalu berusaha menjadi perkebunan Sawit yang sustainable, berlandaskan corporate citizenship yang berusaha memberikan dampak positive pada semua.

Di wilayah Merauke, PT BIA adalah perusahaan pertama yang menyumbang Devisa atas Expor CPO (Crude Palm Oil).

Penghargaan sebagai Pengguna Jasa terbaik ini diberikan kepada BIA dengan kritaria tingkat Kepatuhan terhadap Pemenuhan kepabeanan & Cukai yang tinggi (Kepabeanan Expor). Dengan adanya penghargaan ini, diharapkan Perusahaan lain di Merauke dapat terpacu untuk tetap bangkit membangun ekonomi local maupun nasional.

Allegedely, the Company had destroyed sacred site used to perform traditional rituals. The KNCP published its Final Statement on January 13, 2022. The statement indicated that KNCP did not accept the complainants' claim, but recommended that POSCO International should continue with its current efforts to implement active environmental and social policies and communicate with stakeholders in the future. In response, POSCO International submitted a performance report to KNCP on July 29, 2022, detailing the progress of their ESG activities, including the implementation of the NDPE policy in accordance with the recommendations.
